The hood with columns and a dentil moulding, crossbanding around the door and reverse painted glass known as Verre eglomise above. The trunk in Oak with mahogany crossbanding, quarter columns and panelled base.Thomas Ashton of Macclesfield was working from 1760-95 and is listed in Clock and Watchmakers of the World, book by G.H.Ballie.
