This is perhaps the smallest 8 day Longcase with an arched top we have ever had in the 40+ years of having our shop. They really do not come along very often, especially with a full brass dial with arch and Strike - silent function. The clock has just been fully overhauled. This involved a complete movement restoration, with new bushes and pivot polishing throughout. The dial was completely dismantled and had the Silvering restored as well as brightening the brass. All parts carefully laquered and preserved. The solid Oak case has a wonderful original patina you only get with years of hand waxing. Daniel Catlin of Lynn was working around the late 18th Century and this clock was most likely made around 1780. This clock is very reasonably priced so delivery out of our 20 mile radius of the shop will be a little extra, sorry.
